IECS
is an organization currently serving students in northeast China
through
both conducting short-term English leadership weeks
as well as placing long-term English teachers in university
campuses in China.
- Chinese
college students benefit greatly by learning from native English
speakers.
- Conversing
with Americans often boosts a student’s confidence by
communicating in English.
- Well-planned
English leadership weeks create an atmosphere of enthusiasm for
learning and building life long friendships with those from another
culture.
- Long-term or
yearly teachers continue to cultivate student and faculty relationships
that have been initiated during the English leadership week.
- Short-term
and long-term teachers go through training in order to feel confident
in presenting curriculum and special English material selected for
teaching oral English to Chinese students.

standards of excellence in recruiting, training, and deploying both
short-term and long-term teachers.

Statement
IECS desires to enhance the personal success of
every student by equipping them with English and leadership skills as
well as providing a unique opportunity for cultural exchange with
Americans.
